Boston Celtics vs Detroit Pistons

Huge Eastern conference matchup tonight as the Pistons (20-5) travel to 3rd seed Boston Celtics (15-10). The two sides come into this one with the series split at 1-1.

The Celtics will lean heavily on leading scorer Jaylen Brown to compete with the Pistons tonight. Brown is averaging 29.1 PPG for the season and notched up 74 points total in the first two meetings against Eastern conference leaders.

As for the Pistons, they have been a dominant force across multiple areas of the team. Duren has given strong paint scoring presence averaging 18.6 PPG, and Tobias Harris & Duncan Robinson add to the perimeter offence. However Cade Cunningham will remain the key tonight as he leads the scoring at 26.9 PPG. In his first two meetings with Boston, he has managed 69 points, so very similar return to Jaylen Brown.

Key Markets:

  • Boston Celtics ML (-120), Detroit Pistons ML (-105)
  • Boston Celtics -1.5pts (-110), Detroit Pistons +1.5pts (-110)
  • Over 230.5pts (-110), Under 230.5pts (-110)

Betting Tip:

1u: Total points under 230.5 (-110)

I expect this to be more of a battle tonight. With both Cunningham & Brown being less efficient in shooting than the previous meetings. I give the edge to the Detroit Pistons as road underdogs as well, with a more well rounded roster currently as Boston remain without star Jayson Tatum.
