Sixth seed Atlanta Hawks (10-7) host 12th seed Charlotte Hornets (4-12) tonight at State Farm Arena. The Hawks are priced as 8.5 point favourites against a Charlotte side that is on a 5 game losing streak.
The Hawks come into this after beating the Pelicans 115-98 last night on the road. Kristaps Porzingis bagged 30pts, shooting 11/17 from the field. Jalen Johnson marginally missed out on a triple double with 18pts, 11 rebounds, & 9 assists. The team have gone 8-4 since losing franchise star Trae Young in their victory over Brooklyn at the end of October.
Charlotte have been very poor this season. They do little to contain their opponents giving up 120.9PPG (23rd in the League). They come into this match 1-7 on the road and 0-10 in their L10 matches against teams ranked 5th-9th in the standings.
